We bought a zoo, various
  • More set photos from We bought a zoo are at Zimbio, INF Daily, PopSugar, Eonline and Faded Youth Blog. Matt took photos with a bystander and his baby, and cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto discussed the film at this Mexican paper.

"Cameron (the director) contacted me a couple of months ago. In fact before this started I filmed another movie," Prieto recalls.

The film is "Water for Elephants", in which an elephant is the star of the story. So it would seem that fate put this experience before "We Bought a Zoo."

"Here we have built a zoo, it's awesome," he exclaims in the brief moments before filming a scene. "Since the film is based on a true story, we must work hard at it," says Prieto.

  • Joel and Ethan's official response to the Oscar nominations from AP:

"Ten seems like an awful lot. We don't want to take anyone else's." — Joel and Ethan Coen, reacting to the 10 Oscar nominations for their film, "True Grit."

  • Hereafter is doing well internationally - from ABC News:

In second place in the international marketplace, Clint Eastwood's late-arriving "Hereafter," starring Matt Damon, earned $13 million in 26 territories, which brings its worldwide total to $62 million.

  • Brian Mahoney's scene in The Adjustment Bureau has been cut:

Not long ago you filmed a scene in The Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon. What was it like working on the film and how did you enjoy working alongside Damon?
Brian: I had auditioned for nice parts opposite Matt Damon on 3 different films and landed none of them. Finally a casting director called and said the part I auditioned for in 'Adjustment Bureau' is going to someone more famous but would I be interested in shooting a smaller part-one scene, just me and Matt? I like Matt's work and I've heard good things about him so I said, "Hell yes". It was great to meet him, such a gentleman, but the scene was insignificant and was eventually cut.

  • From the Kansas City Star, on Oscar snubs:

Matt Damon for “True Grit” and “Hereafter”. This is what happens when you’re so good in movie after movie after movie. Hollywood takes you for granted.

    Contagion

Matt finished his two weeks of scenes for Contagion in Nov/Dec 2010. He was only involved in the filming in Chicago and is not involved in the San Francisco scenes, or anywhere else.

I am one of Matt's biggest fans. I see anything and everything he Is in; I contribute to his charities; and I truly believe he is the most talented artist of out time. However I am getting concerned that he is spreading his wings too thin with too many projects. I hope he can pull all of this off but I think he does his best work when he is highly focused and engaged

I do think Matt is the best there is in the business though.

    Go Matt

He's busy, but enjoys working. He's filming a lot this year, but only did short stints in supporting roles in 2010 - 19 days for Hereafter, 6 weeks for True Grit, 2 weeks for Contagion. That's a lot of time off.

    Favor...

Hi! I'm Cecilia from Argentina. I love photos where Matt and Lucy are kissing, unfortunately there are just a couple of them on the web. There is one that I just can't seem to find, where Matt is wearing a green t-shirt and Lucy is hugging him. I think that you have it and I was wondering if you could maybe post it again or give me a link, anything to end my suffering lol :D.
By the way, I LOOOOVE your site! Keep up the good work!

theres a couple of videos on the net of them kissing quickly, one at the OneXOne event in 2008 i think and also in Berlin at a Bourne Premier after party 2007, cant remember where exactly could be on MSN but very sweet, they always looked very much in love from the early days and i realy do hope hollywood keeps out of there relationship because so far they have done brilliantly, i wish them a long and happy marriage
