Leno and Ellen interviews
  • Video of Matt's appearance on Leno and a backstage interview is at the official Tonight Show's offical page. Matt brought flowers for fellow guest Betty White and stayed for the whole show. A story involving John Krasinski is summarised at the LA Times.

  • Matt's appearance on Ellen aired Wednesday, with video at Ellen's page and photos on her Facebook page. A summary of the show and more photos are at the Daily Mail.

  • In this great video interview at Collider Matt discusses We bought a zoo, favorite films, Scorsese and Coppola.

  • Other interviews are at Yahoo, G4TV, a Moviefone Unscripted with Emily Blunt, LA Times and Today Online:

Q: Apparently, like your character in The Adjustment Bureau, you took a big ol' chance on love. Your co-star Emily Blunt mentioned that you said it was "love at first sight" when you met your wife Luciana (Barroso) across the bar all those years ago.

Matt Damon: It's funny. I'm sure that it was. But I wonder - now that we have four kids and that we've built this life - I wonder if I'm retro-actively imbuing that moment with all the subsequent experiences. I feel like it was love at first sight - but maybe that's my revisionist history. (Laughs) I remember her smile. That was what I remember more than anything.

  • A preview of Matt's interview on Piers Morgan's show on Thursday is at the Huffington Post.

    Re: Piers Morgan

I grabbed some time and saw Adj Bureau this afternoon and really enjoyed it. Nolfi did a pretty good job managing the tonal shifts, I thought. There were a few of the sci-fi moments that could have been silly if the whole movie hadn't managed to have such a light tone. It was great to see Matt let his 'dazzle' out. He was simply tremendous in every single scene, which I'm glad to say the critics seem to actually be noticing for a change.

He and Emily need to do a rom-com! But a well-written smart rom-com, like Tom Hanks used to do.

Having said all that, I'm worried about how it will do with the public. It's definitely aiming at the adult audience, and they're hard to get out.

l wanted this movie too be a winner for matt. but l think his remarks on politics is going too hurt. even though he has a right too speak his mind he should of avoided saying the comments.all said and done he is still my favourite acter. and l will see the movie.

I saw TAB last night and absolutely loved it. Not sure why its release was delayed. I am annoyed with Universal's advertising of it in Australia (not sure if it's the same everywhere) but the "Bourne meets Inception" is totally ridiculous. Nothing like a Bourne film or Inception!! But they did do the same with Green Zone.
Matt and Emily Blunt have great on-screen chemistry. Matt was just brilliant. It's amazing to think of the diversity of roles he's had in recent years.
His political comments could harm the box office in America but I think elsewhere in the world, particularly Australia, people are not so concerned with people speaking their mind and having their own opinions.
This is, in fact, the thing I really love about Matt - his honesty and passion and that he's not afraid to give his opinion, sometimes on very contentious subjects that others would never discuss.

George Nolfi says one delay was due to Matt's involvement in True Grit, and the other was because it would bunch up too many Matt films.

I also think the Bourne meets Inception line is very wrong and that people may think they were sold the wrong movie (just like Hereafter).

Matt just doesn't care who objects to his comments. And the benefits of having a one-hour push on CNN worldwide, when the movie is being released in multiple territories simultaneously, will outweigh any objections from a minority of people. It's unlikely he's upsetting any new groups - he's been criticised for attacking the President before and he's also criticised Obama before. The Piers Morgan show will be repeated on Sunday.

I saw the Piers Morgan show

I thought Matt's comments on Obama was insightful and truthful. A lot of Americans feel the same way and are unhappy with the domestic and international policies of this administration. A concerned American who believes that change should happen need to speak up -- to be passive and silent is acceptance then -- that is wrong in itself.
