Various
  • The first still from We bought a zoo is at Coming Soon, but the quality is poor. Benjamin Mee will be on set this week.

  • Coming Soon also has a report on the first footage of Contagion from CinemaCon:

But before we get to the big laughs, the Warner Bros. presentation kicked-off with a sizzle reel that featured the first footage from two of their fall dramas...

It also showed some of the first footage from Steven Soderbergh's Contagion (October 21), a large-scale thriller about a virus that's unleashed on the world, with lots of dark, dystopian scenes of people suffering and images of a glammed-down Matt Damon and Kate Winslet in a hotel room talking on the phone trying to find out who has been in her room because she thinks she's gotten sick. Both movies looked like they would really be very much part of the discussion when awards season comes around.

  • Marion Cotillard briefly mentioned Matt in an interview at The Independent:

After Little White Lies, Cotillard next appears on screen in Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris and Steven Soderbergh's Contagion. The latter, which she shot in Hong Kong, also stars Matt Damon and Kate Winslet, "two of my favourite actors ever".

  • Jeremy Renner appears to be the leading candidate for Bourne Legacy, for which producer Frank Marshall is involved.

  • A photo at the The Adjustment Bureau's official site.

    Us magazine

    Copying from the previous post...

This is random. Somebody posted on Twitter that in the latest issue of Us magazine there's a reference in the obituaries section to Matt's dog dying.

Has anyone got the magazine and can check. Or is it an April Fool's joke, Matt Dillon, made up?

Livejournal seems to be playing up and randomly going to a basic version at times. Not sure what that's about.

Matt made the list of candidates for TIMES 100 most influential. Im sure he will be overlooked yet again for someone like Snooki, but I just like when he is remembered.

As of right now he is ranked 49 so he might make it.

I finally saw The Adjustment Bureau and I loved it!

    Times most influential

(Feel free to delete this, 'cause it's kind of political, but I think it's relevant) I thought it was interesting when Piers Morgan said that Matt's Sarah Palin comments changed the outcome of the election. I think that's a bit extreme, but I have no doubt it was influential. The over the top reaction against it indicated that. Interesting how that has all died down now. I wonder how many of the people who were outraged at the time later on thought, maybe he's kind of right?

    Re: Times most influential

I don't think it's died down for particular groups and some will never say he was right. But he raised Palin as an issue in a way that others weren't at the time.

(Interesting that Matt didn't do any promotion for the latest 'Journey to Planet Earth' episode. The one interview he did for the previous episode was completely overtaken by his political comments in the interview, rather than the environmental messages.)
