Random thought: While I understand China's desire to make a larger place for itself in the international movie business, I think the comparative insularity of its culture (a great culture, but still insular) means it's at an inevitable disadvantage against America, simply because the US is a nation of immigrants. At least for now. Lol.
I don't understand how critics who haven't shot any film in his life can humiliate work of tens and even hundreds of people. He is angry what Matt hasn't come to his show? Damon has wanted to act in the movie of the great Chinese director, in the historical imagination with the good purpose - to promote rapprochement culture of two great countries. How it is possible to condemn him for it? Even it is interesting that for the movie it has turned out. I was read good responses from the audience.
After the first week of hireсThe Great Wall already became the most cash in career Zhang Yimou. Good article about critics and the ordinary audience in Chinese. http://maoyan.com/films/news/17684
Hey don't take those critics too serious. It's not very accurate to say THAT organization is China's People's Choice Award. It's not an equivalent and nor has any real impact on China's film industry. So just let it be. That being said, since I'm in China I already watched the Great Wall in theater. It's entertaining. I can say it's a good blockbuster at best. But this movie still has many flaws especially if you think about the director is Zhang Yimou who is considered No.1 director of China so you must have a higher expectation. I think it's the reason why Chinese critics are so angry with this movie. But don't worry it's definitely worth your money and time.
Since a number of the people who post here will not have had a chance to see it, I thought I'd give a non-spoilery update on Incorporated. I'm now four episodes in. I've started to enjoy it for its own sake and to look forward to it. The show is pretty good - they are continuing to deepen the central characters and bring on interesting new ones. They're also continuing to imaginatively present more information on the world of this show. I'm still not sure if the lead's central motivation is strong enough to sustain a series, but perhaps they are gradually building to a reveal on that.
Matt starts after the 2 hour mark and includes good music clips from films. I linked the original video during the Bourne promo but it was geo-blocked to everyone outside the UK. But this audio interview can be heard by all. Stories about GWH, Saving Private Ryan (new version of old story), Ripley, O11, Bourne and Rounders.
He was in INCREDIBLE shape.. he worked so hard to get that body and to sell the fight scenes with the choreography and the film itself, and the movie wasn't that bad, it's just the dialogue and the script was a little hazy and lazy. The action was impeccable, but the writing not so much. I guess I expected a little more for a return and a reprise! Still pretty good movie, but sometimes I think it could've been a little better.. And DAMN HE WAS HOT AS HELL IN THIS MOVIE. Jealous of Luci!! ❤️️😂😂😂
Hi All, I'm sure you've heard of sweet Debbie Reynolds passing :( I was very fortunate to meet her a few years ago at a book signing and even got to see a bulk of her Hollywood Memorabilia Collection before it was auctioned. Tonight I remembered she was in Behind The Candelabra but unfortunately cannot find a single photo of Debbie and Matt together. If anyone has see one please share!!! Thank you! Gregory
Thanks Paula! I wish there had been a casual shot. In her autobio she said that Matt was very patient with her and had the bluest eyes. I cannot recall him though making comment on working with her unfortunately.
2016 was good to me personally, but for losing entertainers it was a low year. Gregory
