  • The Good Shepherd will be released on DVD on 2 March - details here. No details of additional features at this time, although deleted scenes are expected.

The $60 million-grossing epic, which stars DeNiro, Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie and Alec Baldwin, will hit high-def as an HD DVD/DVD combo platter on March 2.

No specs yet, though being a combo release the set is expected to have the same extras as the standard-def DVD, which is hitting stores day-and-date with the next-gen version.

Thanks Felicity for the Berlin updates and pictures. The Berliner Morgenpost article does not give anything new away. Mentions that the snow is fake.

Would love to see Matt in a Departed sequel without Leo - but how they could get round that ending - Colin's end seemed pretty final to me! Well people have been known to survie a gunshot to the head. Wishful thinking.

Also glad I have a multi region DVD player to enjoy Departed and TGS so soon. Particularly as TGS only opens in the UK on 23 Feb.

One theory already suggested at Cinematical is for the sequel to focus on Mark Wahlberg's character. There's a sequel I could avoid.

I agree - a sequel to avoid. Whilst I think Wahlberg's character could feature in a sequel I don't think he is a good enough actor to carry the film on his own. Jan
