Some months ago you posted a letter Matt wrote urging Americans to lobby their Senators to vote to continue funding various projects in the developing world in connection with his work with DATA. I thought you'd like to know that Congress has since voted to not only continue with the funding (which was threatened with being stopped) but have increased it. I did have the figures but accidentally deleted the email, but I do recall that it was over a billion dollars.

It doesn't take a lot of money to make someone's life better, for example dysentry which affects millions of children worldwide can be prevented with medical aid that costs only a few cents for each child.
