Re: Late Night with David Letterman

There's a more detailed description of Matt talking about Isabella at Celebrity Baby Blog:

Re: Late Night with David Letterman

I'm such a keener, I took notes :o)

Matt came out wearing a Red Sox #34 shirt (which, as I recall, was his number in Little League Felicity?). Yankee's Clements had a groin injury and they discussed the fact that Clements used to play for the Sox. Matt said, "yeah, we had him 20 years ago when he was 40." Apparently the Yankees had won something and Matt said, "another 10 like that and you could be in 2nd place!" He spoke that Boston's favorite teams are "the Sox and whoever's playing the Yankees."

He then discussed travelling with Isabella, detailed above in Baby Blog.

Letterman was still raving about Matt's Matthew McConaughey impression. Letterman asked if Matt thought that Matthew would mind. Matt said that he was an enviably laid-back guy and that wouldn't have bothered him at all. Matt also said that later that week Lucy was on "U-Tube" and came across Matthew watching Matt imitate him. Matt found that a bit embarrassing (*hand/forehead* gesture).

They discussed the great proboscus worn in O-13, the "Brody". George Clooney had told Matt that Adrian Brody was a friend, had hung out at Lake Como and that he wouldn't mind blah blah... Matt then runs into Adrian Brody at a Ben Affleck premiere and starts discussing the nose, the friendship with Clooney and was met with a blank, confused stare. None of it was true. Another of George's jokes. Matt said something to the effect that with McConaughey and Brody he was slowly alienating all the male stars.

A clip was shown (O13 obviously): Scene is the decision to go forth and seduce the older lady. Rusty is chosen but Linus argues (wanting that promotion) that it was HIS idea therefore HE should be Mr. Pepperidge.

And that was it. I found Matt a bit subdued and we were definitely in the presence of Mike Smiley, but he was handsome and charming and full of fun as always.
