Ebert and Roeper

You reported Ebert and Roeper (with Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune subbing for Roger) gave TBU two thumbs up. Happy to say it was "two BIG thumbs up". This influential and prestigious critics show praised the film highly, particularly Greengrass' direction. Roeper, in simply mentioning films from the spy genre, said he felt that Matt and Daniel Craig had both given Oscar-worthy performances in TBU and the latest James Bond. Roeper added he was hoping there would be another Bourne film, and Phillips agreed. They called it the "best sequel, by far, of the summer". It can hardly get any better than that. Normally Roeper despises sequels. What a great critical flying start!

Re: Ebert and Roeper

Thanks, that's much more positive than the report I had seen from a poster at IMDB.

It's funny to think now that Supremacy was the 'little action movie taking on the blockbusters' last time around. Nobody's mentioned that this time around (with Ultimatum's huge budget).
