Jensen, Africa visit, OneXOne
  • A really fun 20 minute interview with Dutch TV host Jensen is here. Matt's in a lot of pain with his neck injury, but the host is a great sport, it's very light-hearted and there are good stories about Clooney and Isabella.

  • A Spanish article claims Matt will be returning to Africa next week on behalf of One and his Africa H20 Foundation.

  • Details about the OneXOne event and a special premiere and party for Running the Sahara is here. The OneXOne event will also be taped by CTV for a future special. Another story on the event and founder Joelle Adler is at the Globe and Mail.

Matt's said before (Berlin or Amsterdam) that he couldn't take any pain pills before interviews because he wanted to be aware of what he was saying (obviously). A trooper.

The Jensen interview is great but so painful to watch. Matt said he was taking anti inflammatories and the acupunture thing - I can tell you this does not work. I'm in agony just watching it! Believe me, if you trap a nerve or sleep funny on your neck, the only things that work are heavy duty painkillers or lots of wine, so I can appreciate why Matt didn't want to do that during public appearances. I just cannot belive the professionalism he is showing. In the more recent photos he looks more relaxed...his face looks less contorted. So hopefully on the mend.

    Thanks felicity!

In at least one of the French video interviews I've seen Matt's still reaching for his neck, but it was certainly not as bad as the previous week in Berlin/Amsterdam.

I really enjoyed that interview. What a trooper that Matt Damon is! I really liked Jensen, too. It's amazing how he transitions so smoothly from Dutch to English and has no accent at all.

I do kind of hope someone from Amsterdam records the show and uploads it to youtube because the stream wasn't very smooth and it certainly took far longer than 24:38 to watch.

And of course, even in pain, Matt looked soooo good; it was good to see that lovely smile again.
