Congratulations to the Red Sox winning the World Series (wow! I can't belive I've just typed that sentence); The BBC showed the very end of the game this morning on their sports news, I guess Matt and Ben are nursing pretty bad hangovers this morning, they must be ecstatic.

I'm not a baseball fan myself but I know they pretty much worship The Sox!

Also, Felicity do you know what the latest worldwide figures are for Ultimatum, just to satisfy my curiosity? Thank you. Marcia

Hi Marcia. Yep, a great Sox victory, but as an observer it seems so anti-climactic after the win in 2004.

I haven't checked Ultimatum's gross in a while either.

As of 25 October, the US gross is $226,484,000. That makes it the sixth highest grossing film for the year domestically and ninth worldwide.

Internationally, it's up to $182,913,813 as of 21 October, with the major markets of Italy, Japan and China still to come.

Total of $409,397,183 according to Box Office Mojo.

Pretty darn amazing.

Thanks again. I'm really glad it's done so well and I think Hollywood will take him more seriously from now on, movies starring the usual Hollywood A-listers don't seem to have fared very well at the box-office so I think Matt's in a really strong position compared to most of his peers to do the kind of projects he wants, whilst also remaining commercially viable for a studio to invest in.

He's really come into his own in the last couple of years and I think has grown in confidence. My hope is that he continues down this path doing challenging and interesting material (that also make money), and keeping his private life private. As nice as it is seeing pictures of him with his family I'm glad he's not in the tabloids every day, that would really cheapen him as an actor I think. Marcia
