  • Matt and Lucy attended a benefit on behalf of Darfur charity Not on our watch in London on Thursday night. Other guests at the event, which raised over 10 million pounds, included Bono, Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson and Sarah Ferguson. Reports are at the Daily Mail, Entertainmentwise and the London Paper. A photo of Matt and Lucy leaving the event is at Splash News Online.

George Clooney raised an astonishing £10million for the victims of Darfur hosting a fund-raising party at the Mayfair home of one of the City’s highest earners.

The Hollywood actor joined forces with Roger Jenkins, a senior executive at Barclays, for an event at which the 100 guests were charged as much as £10,000 a ticket.

Guests included Clooney’s best friend Matt Damon as well as Scarlett Johansson, Cindy Crawford, Sarah Ferguson, Bono and Guy Ritchie.

  • More photos from Wednesday's dinner with George Clooney are at Celebrity-gossip, Socialite Life and Sky Showbiz (below). Reports are at the Daily Mail, the London Paper and the Mirror.

So sorry you have to deal with that crap. If I live a thousand years I will never understand such people. I'm glad (and grateful) that I don't. I would never want to live chained in such an airless mental basement.

    Bourne on Blue-Ray!

Was happy to see thatthe Bourne Trilogy (The Bourne Identity | The Bourne Supremacy | The Bourne Ultimatum) will be out on Blue-Ray on Jan. 27. At only $119.98! Gee, only $120 bucks. Of course, then I'd have to buy a HDTV and blue-ray player. Just to see movies I've already purchased mulitiple times. A pox on those marketing people! Though I never did get the set of Bourne DVDs that came with dog-tags. Only released overseas and a tad too much. Of course, I'll break down someday. By the way, you can look at Amazon to see the new cover pic. Not too shabby. So sorry that some idiots are posting here. Also, thanks for telling us about Matt's jacket. Interesting! All the best, Cheryl

    Milk project

I was fortunate enough to see the movie Milk today based off of the life of Harvey Milk and I remember there being talks about Matt maybe possibly playing Dan White, and even though it was a small supporting role and Josh Brolin did a wonderful job, it would have actually been really interesting to see what Matts take on dan White would have been. If you are able to see the film I suggest that you do.

    Re: Milk project

Thanks Diana. I'm really looking forward to seeing the film (it will probably open in Australia in about six months).

Interesting to note that Josh Brolin won Best Supporting Actor from the National Board of Review for his role (the first awards of the season).
