    Green Zone

Thanks for the links to Hollywood Elsewhere and The Playlist. Nice to know somebody else is feeling my pain. It's not only that the studio is screwing around with one of my most anticipated movies, it also fills me with dread regarding the next Bourne. If Uni only wants to make pablum, then they will almost certainly do everything they can to make sure that Bourne 4 is an exact replica of Bourne 3, which is exactly the wrong thing for it to be. These people are like scared rabbits. And dumb scared rabbits at that, because why else would they undermine their relationship with the star and director of their tentpole? Here they have a director who's never made a bad movie and a hot star who's notorious for his good taste, and they put the release in March. Release in March guarantees little money and no attention for Green Zone. Unfathomable.

Sorry for the vent. Very frustrated.

    Re: Green Zone

(I did respond earlier to your previous post, but I saw it quite late.)

I still think the date could easily change. They need Matt and Paul's good will, and they won't dump the film without a fight. And they know Bourne's a cash cow and that it needs to be good for people to support it. (Love Matt's "Promise" re the prospects for him being involved with the Bourne script.)

Matt says Paul is still editing Green Zone. It may be true - he certainly hasn't started any other projects.
