Family issues, Invictus poster

  • Matt did not attend the OneXOne benefit in San Francisco due to a 'serious' family emergency in Boston. Further details are not known, but it does not relate to Lucy, their children, or apparently father Kent or brother Kyle. Reports are at E Online, Access Hollywood and the Boston Herald. Photos of Matt, Lucy and Gia in Boston are at PopSugar, Splash and Celebrity Baby Scoop.

Hollywood hunk Matt Damon bowed out of his OneXOne charity’s fund-raiser in San Francisco last night to return home to Boston for what his rep called "a serious family matter."

A grim-looking Damon, his wife, Luciana, and baby Gia lunched at Stephanie’s on Newbury with his dad, Kent, and brother Kyle, and then all were spotted on a slow stroll through the Back Bay.

Access has confirmed the emergency did not involve the actor’s children with wife Luciana Bozan – daughters Isabella, 3; and Gia Zavala, 1.

No other details were immediately available.

The oft-involved actor was forced to pull out of a charity event tonight in San Francisco due to a "family emergency of a serious nature," his rep confirms to E! News.

"He wouldn't have missed this otherwise," she said.

  • The OneXone event went ahead in San Francisco with guests including Charlize Theron, Gary White, Jeremy Piven, Mia Hamm and Nomar Garciaparra. Matt was also scheduled to attend a food bank on behalf of Feeding America prior to the gala.

  • The first poster for Invictus has been released and is available here.
