upcoming filming

What with Hereafter, True Grit, the Clooney project, and then Liberace, Matt sure has a busy schedule upcoming. I'm wondering if he'll use a Texas accent for True Grit, as he's playing a TX Ranger. He had a very good, subtle, one in All the Pretty Horses.

I was disappointed to read that the Coen script (at least as described in cinemablend) concentrates on the relationship between Mattie and Rooster. Sounds like Matt won't be in it that much. This is the second script review that describes Matt's character as coming out the worse for wear. In the book he was injured twice, but didn't an earlier review (in latino review, maybe?) describe his injury as having comic potential? This reviewer seemed to see the whole thing more darkly...

Re: upcoming filming

Matt's character really wasn't in the original movie that much, and it wasn't a strong role. It's definitely a supporting role, but it should be a fun part (if he doesn't have to be around for the whole filming, and can just film his parts and go).

Certainly if Matt's filming the Clooney project before the Liberace movie in June, then he'll be on the True Grit set for probably less than two months.

The previous script review was from The Playlist.
