I agree wholeheartedly with the comments at heyuguys. It seems there is a disconnect between production and marketing. Production has some guts, and marketing has no guts whatsoever. So they deceive, which just ticks people off, and then those people tell their friends. The same fate befell The Informant. A movie deliberately mismarketed as a laugh riot, when it's really a character study, and a spectacular one.

At the Movies featured a brief special segment at the end of the show this week on Matt. Words like terrific and magnetic were thrown around. Nice to hear!

Green Zone

I'm surprised that on Twitter about 85% of the comments I see about Green Zone are positive. People like the movie, but that doesn't necessarily mean the movie will have good word of mouth and long lasting box office - see Invictus.

I don't know how much it affected things, but this couldn't have helped - there were copies of Green Zone available on the Internet about two weeks before it was released, and the copies are apparently good. I don't know why the studios don't do more to to stop copies once they are online, or stop people promoting the online versions.

And thanks for the At the movies comment - I hadn't seen any reports from the show. I know Michael Phillips had issues with the movie.
