Hereafter, photos
  • More photos of Matt and Lucy on the pre-wedding cruise in Lake Como are at PopSugar, but ignore the comments section.

  • Photos of Matt and family at Los Angeles airport are also at PopSugar.

  • Clint Eastwood discussed Hereafter in an interview at the Independent. The interviewer appears to have viewed an early cut of the film.

And, of course, there’s more on tap, with Eastwood currently completing post-production on Hereafter, based on an intricately woven script by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon). The film is, as Eastwood says, “a very romantic story”, about some people who, as a result of near-death experiences, are granted mystical gifts for understanding – well, yes – the “hereafter”.

Matt Damon is the nominal star, as a man resisting his own gift for second-sight and the Belgian actress Cécile De France gives a star-making performance as a journalist investigating her own expanded psyche after almost dying in a tsunami.

    Re: Hawaii

There's also a photo at People.

An unflattering shirtless pic from Hawaii was the focus of a story on E News, including not very clever headlines of: Meaty Matt and Gut will hunting.

And Matt always puts on weight in between movies (and usually while Lucy's pregnant).

There was a request from LiveJournal to essentially delete my entry including these photos for breach of privacy reasons. Not really sure why, as the photos are courtesy of other sites and still available at those sites, but the entry has been deleted.

Ah, too bad, they were really sweet, and none of them featured the kids (which is good).

    Re: Margaret

Thanks so much for the link to the script. An amazing read, and such well developed and challenging characters (I suppose they had to be by the end of the very long script). I can see why it was so difficult to edit and am unsure how many sub-plots they will have to edit to reduce it to a manageable length.

Matt's character (who obviously wasn't written for him) remains a questionable blank page, and a very strange, awkward construct.
