True Grit poster, Hereafter photos
  • A new poster for True Grit is now available from In Contention. A longer trailer is in cinemas this weekend, but not yet available online.

  • New stills and production shots from Hereafter are available at Beyond Hollywood.

  • Amy Adams is considering the role of Matt's wife in We bought a zoo:

Amy Adams is one wanted woman... However, she is also having discussions for Cameron Crowe’s We Bought a Zoo as well as a significant role in Dreamworks Pictures’ Welcome to People, which just landed Chris Pine in the lead.

Adams’ involvement in the Muppets flick appears the most solid, though Disney isn’t commenting. Sources tell EW.com that dates are still being worked out as she entertains the two other parts. Adams’ reps couldn’t be reached for comment. It would be interesting to see her play the zookeeper opposite Matt Damon in We Bought a Zoo. Damon is already set to play the lead role of Benjamin Mee, a recently widowed man who buys a dilapidated zoo as a condition of purchasing a beautiful country estate. Crowe is said to be looking at a short list of actresses for the part.

  • Ben may be considering a new project with Matt:

Still, it's not clear if Affleck will accept the gig, as he's also said to be considering directing Homeland, a pilot for Showtime from 24 producer Howard Gordon about a sleeper cell and an ex-CIA operative, and an unknown "two-hander" at Warner Bros. that might star his old pal Matt Damon.

Clips from the extended True Grit trailer were shown on ET on Friday's show (focusing on Matt). Looks great.

Hi! There's a great expectation for True Grit,(at least it's what I saw on the web)They talk about the movie as one of the major candidates for the award season this year. And I think it will very well at the box office too.Which is very good considering that the last movies didn't fare so well in that aspect.
But I ask you ,what about Hereafter? Some people love it,and some people don't like it.Also, the poster has a lot of photoshop, don't you think? I mean, Matt looks 10 years younger in that poster. He looks very 90's,good (of course),but very retro. Some guy who saw the movie in Toronto says that the audience responded with a polite applause(not so enthusiastic) at the end of the movie. So what's your opinion? Syl.

I dont think Matt's pic on the Hereafter poster in photoshopped as much as they just used an old pic of Matt. I've seen that pic many times before. The pic is the pic from his characters website, that he had many years ago, but I don't understand why they used it for the poster...it just seems odd.

I wouldn't think anything of the Toronto reviews, for as many bad reviews, it got many good ones. The reviews that didn't like it just seemed very pissy towards the whole movie. Although even most of the critics that liked the movie said they didn't like the ending, so I guess we will see. It's not going to be overly loved like the social network, but that seems to be the way most Eastwood movies are.

Sasha Stone gave it a great review.

    extended trailer

the longer trailer shown over the weekend is up!

Matt: a little grizzeld, with muttonchops and an ammo belt, riding a horse and trotting out a west Texas accent? In a movie directed by the Coens? Oh, yes, oh yes...

I think I had a dream like this once!

    Re: extended trailer

And Bourne 4 has been announced, to be directed by Tony Gilroy. No word yet on if Matt is involved.

A quote from Kris Tapley at In Contention:

We get a good look at Matt Damon’s performance here, which I hear is a highlight of the film.
