Letterman, various
  • Matt appeared on Late Night with David Letterman on Tuesday. A clip is at the official site, with another clip at TV Squad. Matt talks about visiting a corn maze and picking pumpkins in the CBS clip - the farm he visited in New Jersey is Alstede Farms. Photos of Matt outside the studio are at Zimbio and I Need My Fix, with more photos from yesterday available at MSN and PopSugar.

  • Matt talks about looking forward to the 30 Rock live show in this clip, and True Grit in this clip.

Matt: I haven’t seen anything yet, but I’ve spoken to them and they seem happy. It seemed great while we were making it. The script is great and the storyboards were great. I was watching the work the other actors were doing and it seemed really fantastic, so I have high hopes for it.

  • A photographer's report and photos from the premiere on Sunday. And an article about the futue of Dartmoore Zoological Park, waiting on funds from We bought a zoo.

    Re:Letterman Interview

Thankyou so much for the links to Matt's Letterman interview. I wasn't sure when I was going to be able to see it in Australia.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Hereafter but it looks like I'll have to wait longer because I contacted Village Cinemas (in Australia)and was told it will not be released until Feb. 4 2011 and only on limited release.

    Re: Letterman Interview

Hopefully the episode will be repeated in a few weeks and we'll be able to see it in full (at least the Games will be over).

All of Matt's movies appear to be coming in a block next year in Australia. From the Hoyts website:

    True Grit - 20 January 2011
    Hereafter - 3 February 2011
    Adjustment Bureau - 3 March 2011

I'm still looking for details on when 30 Rock is going to air. The Sydney Morning Herald said it would be 'fast-tracked', but I haven't seen a start date. The early seasons are being repeated on 7mate at 9.30pm on Mondays.

It didn't take a lot to work out! These things sound amazing to me (as an Australian, they're a very strange concept).

Matt on working with Clint and learning from directors:

Lucy didn't realise that everyone didn't know they were having a girl (an early reveal from another Donna Freydkin interview - yay):

Matt and Clint filmed 'The Early Show' today, but the interview isn't yet online (probably delayed until next week) - photos at PopSugar:

Various reports from the last few days:

Can anyone access this video at E? It's from the Ben Lyons interview (which will barely be shown as The Daily 10 has finished):

For the amusement factor only - a website has a competition to guess the name of Matt and Lucy's baby:

    Re: Update

I watched the E! video...the only comment from Matt was a 2 second clip of him saying "Yeah, I'm really excited" (for the show), and that was it.... I'm excited for it too! ;)

    New Kathryn Bigelow project

Matt's mentioned in a Variety story as one of a group of top actors interested in a new Kathryn Bigelow/Mark Boal project:

While a handful of high-profile actors being interested in the same movie is nothing new, what is becoming more apparent is the effect certain casting decisions are having on other upcoming projects. decisions are having on other upcoming projects.

After "The Hurt Locker," it's not surprising that actors want to work with Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal on their next project, but even for jaded Hollywood, the roster of actors they've been meeting with is impressive. Will Smith, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Christian Bale, Javier Bardem and Jake Gyllenhaal have either asked Bigelow and Boal for a look at the script or taken meetings to discuss the film.
That's in addition to Tom Hanks and Johnny Depp, who are also interested in the project, "Triple Frontier." Since there are four lead roles, there could be various powerhouse combinations. And since many of these thesps are planning other films, the casting could create a ripple effect on a platoon of projects.

Depp is attached to "Dark Shadows" and "The Lone Ranger"; Damon is onboard for "We Bought a Zoo" and a Robert Kennedy biopic; and there are a slew of films on DiCaprio's plate, including "Hoover," with Clint Eastwood set to helm.
