Bourne

Isn't it misleading to use the Bourne name in the tittle, when Jason Bourne is NOT in the movie??? Syl.

Re: Bourne

That's just Universal trying to find more ways to make the franchise continue without Matt. They can justify it by saying it's about the Bourne universe, rather than an individual character.

My vote's for Taylor Kitsch.

Re: Bourne

Surely a younger actor will attract a new generation of fans to the franchise. And who knows? The new movie might be even more successful than the previous ones. But at least for me, a Bourne movie without Matt is not a Bourne movie.
I just hope that someday, Jason Bourne returns.

Re: Bourne

I agree that the 'Wrap' article is influenced by studio short-term thinking. A studio executive's idea of what a movie star should be is somebody who sells out his audience to make a movie he doesn't truly believe in for the money. Matt has always tried to take the longer view.

And I gotta admit to a certain amount of delight in Gilroy's leading man difficulties. He made his own bed.
