Monuments Men set photos

  • More photos from the set of Monuments Men are at PopSugar, MSN, Daily Mail, Lainey Gossip and Bild.

  • Photos of Matt and family at an amusement park in Berlin are at BZ and a copy of the newspaper page is at Jacks Fun World Facebook. A report is at People.

No, it was not a sequel to The Talented Mr. Ripley. But the two actors from that 1999 movie – Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett – both separately spent some quality family time in Berlin this weekend.

The two are in the capital city shooting The Monuments Men, with George Clooney, though on Sunday's day off, Damon and wife Luciana did what the parents of 500 other kids did in Berlin: took them to Jack's Fun World for some indoor fun and games.

The owner of the park, Oleg Nepomnjascij, tells PEOPLE that the Damons were impressively easygoing. "I take my hat off to him," he said.

To the delight of the other parents, the star and his family just hung out like everybody else, while their kids – Alexia, Isabella, Gia and Stella – ran and jumped and bounced and shrieked for joy.

  • Scott Bakula discussed Behind the Candelabra at

Bakula: Behind The Candelabra is an HBO movie. It’s the Liberace story. Michael Douglass and Matt Damon. I play a small part in it. I play a choreographer who introduces, brings Matt Damon to Las Vegas for the first time. I take him to see my friend, Liberace’s show. He is kind of completely enamoured by Las Vegas, by the overwhelming experience of being around Liberace. Liberace takes a strong liking to him also, and they develop this kind of sad, tragic relationship. So the movie tells the story of that from Matt Damon’s character’s point of view. It’s a movie that’s got all kinds of things in it. From the insanity of Liberace’s performances ahd the glitter and the glamour of Vegas in those days. And then, just a kind of behind-the-scenes look at what was really going on for gay people, and famous gay people in the world back in the 70s when Liberace was determined to keep his homosexuality under wraps so that he could — he was worried he could lose his fans. Michael and Matt are extraordinary in it. Dan Akroyd, Debbie Reynolds and just a bunch of wonderful, wonderful people in it.
