Interstellar, Creative Emmys
  • Matt is currently filming Interstellar in Iceland after arriving in Reykjavik last Friday. The filming in Iceland should be completed by next weekend, and Matt is due to present at the Emmys next Sunday.

  • Behind the Candelabra won eight of the nine Emmys it was nominated for at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Wins included editing, costumes, casting, hair and make-up and sound mixing.

    Thought that was funny (officially they deny there was a relationship). Matt's in the front row.

    The filming in Iceland should finish on Thursday, if they're on track - the permit for filming on the glacier was only until 19 September.

    I didn't know that they denied the relationship although a very brief one. Maybe because it was brief they didn't consider it a relationship? If I remember correctly Claire introduced matt to Winona. At the time they were good friends. When asked about it she said yes it's strange. Being her ex was dating her good friend now. But it seemed like it was all amicable.

    Now that you mentioned it I think she was 17 or 18. So yes very young. I still don't remember them ever denying it.

    Here's a Cancun junket interview with the journalist who met Lucy in the corridor while waiting to interview Matt. At the end of the interview he mentions this, repeats Lucy's comment that Matt's Spanish is amazing, and asks Matt a question (in Spanish) about visiting Argentina.

    Elysium
    I see that Elysium just passed Oblivion at the domestic box office. Nice to see it still hanging around in the top ten - although this will probably its last week. It's also having a nice run in China, just passing $20 million there. And still quite a few markets to open in internationally. Not at all bad!

    I was just checking the latest figures and the comparisons with District 9. It opens this weekend in Brazil and Japan and should do well, but there was no big press push in Japan. Matt may have visited there if he wasn't filming this week. Iceland filming should now be over.
