  • Matt is due to receive a Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum on Tuesday evening. The ceremony will be broadcast at this site at 6.10pm CET. More details are available here. At Davos Matt's list of planned interviews include CNBC Meets with Tania Bryer and Maria Bartiromo.

  • More photos from the SAG Awards are at PopSugar and Lainey Gossip.

  • An article at People listed some highlights from last week's Monuments Men press conference, including:

Blanchett on having all of her scenes opposite Damon: "I know! Can you imagine my disappointment? I thought I was going to be working with Bill Murray … I think we've aged relatively well. The last time we were together was in [The Talented Mr. Ripley], which was an entirely different endeavor, then in-between times he went and made Behind the Candelabra. Fortunately I hadn't seen that before we started working."

Great speech! Looking forward to the rest of Davos.

Cheers, Matt. He's sitting next to Al Gore. But poor Matt, as soon as he went back to his seat somebody slapped him on the back. Ouch!

No sling, but glasses and black shirt.First words "I thank the Hollywood Foreign Press Association..OH I'm sorry that's a wrong spreech, it was for the Golden Globes , but I didn't need it" Then he speaks about talking with Michael and a big kiss from Bono! After that, I'm not able to make a transcription!

So we know when Matt and Gary's presentations will start and whether they will be televised? I think I saw the information here, but now I can't find it.

    Re: Davos

The official water.org session won't be broadcast on Wednesday afternoon. There seem to be ongoing events and parties, with most news and photos likely to come via Twitter.

    Guardian blog

Blog has some comments from Matt and Gary after the award ceremony.

Highlights from the ceremony and photos:

Damon makes persuasive case for Water.org
And with that, Matt Damon nipped off to conduct a TV interview, to warm applause from the room.
It's easy to be starstruck on these occasions -- but putting that aside, Damon and Gary White made a persuasive case for their campaign. They need support from business leaders and politicians attending Davos -- fingers crossed that they have some success this week.
And that's the end of our live blog for this evening (i think!). See you in the morning. GW

    Vanity Fair

A Vanity Fair story on why everyone is happy making fun of Matt (and why he can take it):

    Re: Vanity Fair

Very cute article. But Affleck explained why very well when Matt gave him the Modern Master Award In Santa Barbara last year. Ben said he hope Matt would invite him to introduce him when Matt wins the award because his intro would be "more of a roast." Because "so many of the brilliant characteristics of Matt are so blatantly self-evident."

He praised Matt to the skies when he accepted that award. It's the sort of thing people do when they REALLY get talking about Matt in a serious way. And so many people feel that way that he's safe both because people really love him AND he's so good natured.

wow. thank you for the link to the event. i would never have found that on my own. likewise, without Matt i would not have an understanding about the water crisis in this sense. he's been one of my favorite actors ever sense i saw him in a movie, but more recently he became my very favorite. i had no idea how wonderful i would wind up feeling that he is. i have learned so much about the film industry and about the world water crises and wall street and more just by being his fan. he really is something special and so humble and dedicated and capable along with all his other charms.

Part of a transcript from a Davos interview is at Newscom:

Damon was asked if he would be taking the opportunity to go skiing during his visit to Davos. He explained he couldn't as he currently has a broken collarbone, after falling off his mountain bike a few weeks ago. He added that his wife would not be impressed if he left her at home with four children while he went skiing.

Looking forward to Monuments Men (enjoyed the interview with George and Matt). Thanks again for all the interesting info & links Felicity (mattdamoncolumn).

I'm in Canberra, Aussie capital, but originally from Far North Queensland (North East Australia, Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef). Thanks for the polite conversation Gregory. I'm also interested in your question (nice to know where everyone is from, considering we're all sharing a glass of bubbles/wine in celebration of Matt from all around the world). Cheers! M..
