The following photos are from the Boston Globe's reader-submitted photo gallery. Two set photos were submitted to the paper by Lauren Burke of South Boston and the picture of Matt with fans Nicole Rogers (left) and Carrie Daniel was sent to the paper by Nicole Rogers.
The Globe has also posted this photo on their site without a caption, it appears to be from the benefit night for the Cambridge theatre last weekend.
Matt was unable to attend the Shjon Podein Children's Foundation events last weekend in Rochester, Minnesota, but still made a contribution. Thanks to the Rochester Post-Bulletin for access to the articles (excerpts below), including the celebrity participants:
Barry Melrose, the hockey analyst and former coach; Chuck Foreman, former Minnesota Vikings great; Brad Paisley, country music star on the rise; Kimberly Williams-Paisley, his wife and well-known actress; dozens of current NHL and top college hockey players; musicians, actors. Actor Matt Damon shows up when he can and always sends a big donation if he can't make it. The event just keeps getting bigger.
Podein's friends Matt Damon and Ben Affleck didn't make it to Rochester this year, but their contribution -- two tickets to the premiere of the Project Greenlight Vegas Palms movie -- fetched $20,000, the evening's highest bid.
Two tickets to the premiere of Damon's next movie brought in $15,000.
