Milan premiere
  • Photos from the Milan premiere are at the Daily Mail, Just Jared, Il Giorno, Yahoo Italy and Cosmopolitan Italy. Matt and Lucy both wore Giorgio Armani. A quote from George at the the press conference is from Grazia. After the premiere the cast left for London.

To see them all together it seems clear that they are quite gregarious. "These little people are my friends (but do not let them know!)" says a smiling George. "Some relationships are more recent, but others have been friends for a lifetime. Matt and I have already shot six films together, while Grant I have known for 30 years. In short, we are a big family and it's nice to get up in the morning and work with them, while it is a disappointment when it all ends."

  • Earlier in the day, Matt, Lucy and the cast visited Santa Maria delle Grazie to have a cast photo in front of The Last Supper - photos at Zimbio. Tourists are not usually permitted to take photos in front of the painting. Frenchies Fans of George Clooney has video of the group leaving the museum, the Milan press conference and a link to live coverage of the Paris premiere.

    Guardian interview

People always ask me, who is the nicest person/celeb you've interviewed? I have a new answer as of this afternoon. Matt Damon. By a margin.

    Lorraine ‏@reallorraine
Just interviewed Matt Damon. Cute as a button and a total delight - but a wee bit "tired" after a night out with Mr George Clooney

    C4 interview

Summary of the Paul Mason C4 interview:

“I haven’t worked since I made this and I am looking for a job,” he says. “But the problem is piracy is a huge deal – it’s eating into 40 per cent of the industry’s market share. So there are different jobs becoming available and very little of the movies that I really want to make. So I’m on a hiatus right now. I’m holding out for something good.”

    Graham Norton

They may have filmed Graham Norton's show today, instead of its usual schedule on Thursday night.

Definitely filmed after the premiere, with Bill Murray as a guest instead of Jean Dujardin.

Graham Norton was amazing!!! Matt Damon, Hugh Bonneville, Paloma Faith & BILL MURRAY!!!!!

Just witnessed Matt Damon and Bill Murray have a drinking competition. Amazing night

Also never in a million years did I expect to witness Matt Damon downing glasses of champagne and Bill Murray throwing a pineapple

Brief video of what looks to be Matt, Lucy, and Terry leaving the hotel for the premiere. Lucy's hair is so pretty!

Also saw a tweet that said Matt got a bigger reaction from the crowd when he arrived than George did, and I agree.

Matt looks a little bit like Leonardo DiCaprio in the first photo. Beautiful and handsome (as always) :) What an experience to see Davinci's painting at the museum! Looking forward to the movie. M..

    I finally saw the movie!

    Well, what an enjoyable film.

I totally know what they mean when they said it's an 'old fashioned' kind of film. No gratuitous violence (although the mortal consequences of the war are never soft pedaled), no sex, and a truly uplifting and inspiring story about men who risked their lives because they felt they were morally compelled to do so. Having read a few reviews, I kept waiting for the boring part - and it never came. I found the story gripping and was moved deeply several times and also laughed out loud. What more do you want out of a movie? Most of the people around me also reacted quite frequently. Not a lot of people, because it was a weekday afternoon, but I hope to see it again on the weekend. I think it would be a fun movie to see with more people. My mom will love it.

Matt was terrific and that Demitri Leonidas(sp) is really going places. What soulful eyes he's got.

    London press conference

The London press conference is good fun. They talk about leaving for Paris after the premiere (also the Graham Norton show), and George asks Matt what day it is and Matt says he doesn't know. They're all exhausted, but still working hard for the film.

    Red carpet interview

Cute interview with George and Matt from the red carpet. Can't believe how fresh Matt looks here, when they all seemed so exhausted at the press conference. And he and Bill Murray went direct from here to tape Norton's show?! No wonder it got a little wacky. Really looking forward to that!
