HBO is bringing back “Project Greenlight,” the series from Matt Damon and Ben Affleck that gave a look at the challenges of a first-time director, the premium cable channel announced Wednesday. It originally ran for two seasons in 2001 and 2003 on HBO.
Damon and Affleck will be back to exec produce, the same role they held during the show’s first run. The show follows the search for a first-time director, beginning with a digital competition, and follows the winner from pre-production and casting through principal photography and post-production.
Dan Friedkin and Emmy-winner Lauren Sanchez Whitesell hosted a private party at California’s Chino Airport Saturday for the Planes of Fame Air Show, where thousands witnessed aerobatic performances from Friedkin’s Horsemen Flight Team and historic war aircraft.
Guests, some of whom helicoptered in from LA, included Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford with their daughter Kaia; Matt Damon, his wife Luciana and their four kids; William Lauder and Andy Garcia.
