Producer Simon Kinberg claims The Martian will be Ridley Scott's next film and that it will shoot in the fall. Further details are not known at this stage. From The Playlist. Simon talks about the project briefly as a 'very realistic science fiction book' at 1.53.33 of the podcast linked at The Playlist.
Matt and Ben may be discussing the new season of Project Greenlight on Access Hollywood this Thursday. Thanks Cindi.
Part of an article in In Touch magazine, probably conducted on the red carpet at the recent Boston MGH charity event, from Contact Music:
Asked how he juggles his career and family, the 43-year-old actor said: "I think making sure to carve out time for the family to be together on vacation is a good thing. We've done a lot of great vacations that I wouldn't mind going on again." Matt has been happily married to Argentina-born Luciana for 10 years and thinks communication is the secret to their happy loving relationship.
He said: "I think our key is to talk a lot. But I wouldn't dare speak for anyone else."
He added to In Touch magazine: "She just gets better with age."
A photo of Matt leaving the gym on Monday from the NY Post and photos of Matt at lunch with friends including Marc Joubert is at Zimbio.

The promotional video for Project Greenlight is now online. More details are available at ProjectGreenlight.com.

"America: Imagine the World without Her"
|
So a friend of mine alerted me that Matt Damon appears in the new Dinesh D’Souza documentary, "America: Imagine the World without Her", in theaters stateside. I went to see it tonight. D'Souza is the filmmaker who made "2016: Obama's America". D'Souza is a political commentator, filmmaker, and author.
Anyway... in the beginning of the doc, he shows the scene from GWH when Matt tells Robin's character to read Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States", and then proceeds to breakdown and criticize Zinn's book and historical interpretation. Around the 1/2 way point in the doc, D'Souza shows footage of Matt & Lucy on the red carpet at the 2013 SAG-AFTRA awards, and then footage from Bourne Identity, and Bourne Supremacy while calling Damon a "disciple" of Zinn's and yet points out that it's capitalism that allows Damon to make the money (income) that he does and willing audiences who go to see Damon in the films, and that capitalism is not bad. The doc goes on pointing out that the United States is a good country that has done some bad things, but then goes on to rail against President Clinton and brings up Hillary clinton and their supposed Socialist philosophies.
