This is a quote from a guy at Nolan fans who claims to have seen the movie. It does fit in with what we have been hearing. I think it's generic enough not to be a spoiler:

I was very impressed by Matt's role in Interstellar. The result is a quite usual character in an unusual situation. The way he reveals and changes is very interesting to see. Of course, his first appearance is impressive, although those who have read the first Jonah version of the script probably guess who he plays, how he appears and what will happen with him. But in terms of directing, one of the scenes with Damon is one of the most epic and dramatic scenes in the whole Interstellar.

    Re: Interstellar

Thanks Paula, I'll be able to see it next week. There's no mention of Matt at all in the official press notes for the film.

Matt is still in Budapest but leaving Friday. My translating site's not working well, but he seems to be enjoying Budapest, including the local beer, and went with a friend to get cigarettes (not for Matt). Can't translate the rest:

As always, there was a sighting of Matt (in a He-Man costume) trick and treating with the girls.

    Andy Weir, Papa

Andy Weir and Steve Jurveston geek out over the possibilities of space colonization. And, amusingly, we find out that Andy Weir is afraid to fly! Ha.

Also, according to Twitter, Zachary Galinifanakis will also be on Papa's show Tuesday.

Yup that's the whole free OFF CAMERA audio. The only thing different is the intro by Sam setting it up.

    A random tipping story:

When she’s not waiting tables, she’s an accomplished actress, with credits at theaters around the country and on Broadway. The biggest tip she ever saw was from Matt Damon, who left $500 on top of a $600 meal.

    'Come To Papa' deux

Well fellow Damon fans, I could not keep myself away. I ended up going for a second time to 'Come To Papa', but solo. I have no regrets!! :D

Tom's friends for the scripted skits were Matt Damon, Nick Kroll, Steve Agee, & Melissa Villasenor. And the stand-up comedians were Zach Galifinakis, Dom Irerra, Russell Peters, Nate Bargatze.

In comparison to last time's Halloween show, the skits were just as funny (a courtesy to Tom Papa whom I learned writes all the sketches, but I don't know if he does so solo), but the stand-up comedy segments were looser than last time, leaving a lot of variety for jokes ranging from situational to dirty, to observational.

The theme of tonight's show was Panic. So all the scripted segments had to do with panic in the media over ISIS, Ebola, FOX News reporting, etc

The first skit was the group skit were all of Tom's friends came out one by one, each discussing the idea of panic and what causes it. Melissa Villasenor was back to do her Wanda Sykes imitation. The last person to join the skit was Matt Damon who came in saying (scripted) he was surprised that the bar (at the venue) was out of Guiness and that the bar tender was panicked crouched down behind the bar and how could the venue be out of Guiness. The audience was the loudest when he walked out cheering.

The next skit, that Matt was in, was one in which Papa talked bout stress and how mediation helps, so he brought out Villesenor, doing a full-on Owen Wilson imitation, and how he's always zen and by talking quieter and quieter until only his mouth is moving like in the movies. Damon then walked up to a mic and started talking as Matthew McConaughey and agreeing with Owen about being zen and in on one's own mental plane. He then went on about relaxing, taking his shirt off, and discussing water and how it's made up of millions of rain drops, in a bucket made of cheese, sailing one's own boat, etc etc as hilarity ensued. He mentioned how Robert DuVall paid him a compliment of his performance in Dallas Buyers Club but that he wasn't mentioning to brag on himself, but to point out how DuVall understood that you have to be in your own zone to play such a part etc etc. It's impressive how Damon can do the McConaughey imitation for a full 5-10 minutes, unlike how he says 1-2 lines on David Letterman. HILARIOUS stuff I wish was filmed.

The next skit, that Matt was in, he was paired with Steve Agee like in the Halloween ep, but instead of Damon playing Frankenstein and Agee playing Dracula, Agee played the voice of the disease Scurvy and Damon played the voice of Bird Flu. Later Nick Kroll joined in as Syphillis. To almost everything Agee said he followed it by a "arrrgh" like a pirate, and to everything Damon said he followed it by a "cukaw or kaw". Agee played up how scurvy would ruin you like a pirate like in Captain Phillips, but Damon played it like a diseased bird talking about how it would ruin you and you wouldn't be able to fly. The only joke I remember was the mention of Agee saying Abraham Lincoln died of Scurvy to which Papa said no he didn't he was shot, and Agee joking well then he was lucky, but then Damon said that the reason Lincoln wore a tall top hat was cause of the birds under his hat. The skit was hilarious but it's lost in my writing. Of course Damon's antics of "cukaw and kaw" of varying enthusiasm and volume were funny in themselves. At one point someone said something sad and Matt made a soft sad "Kaw" to which the audience broke in laughter and at another time, when what he was saying was so ridiculous he broke and said "sorry I didn't write this stuff" LOL At the end of the skit, Papa jokinggly said, what an odd semi-effeminate southern accent Damon took on as Birdflu.

Matt was in the closing group skit, and Papa based it on the fact that we have nothing to fear but fear itself, yet some people fear death and questioned why to which each friend responded with a bad way to die. When it was Matt's turn he said he wouldn't want to die tonight knowing that his obituary would say he was radio.

    Re: 'Come To Papa' deux

Of note, during Russell Peters' stand up he was interacting from stage with audience members and he was asking who had kids in the first row. When no one responded he asked Papa (off stage) how many kids he had and Damon came out from the side by the curtain and shouted that he himself had 4. Peters reacted to them all being girls saying, God's way of sticking it to Damon. And that cause his wife was Latin that's why he must've had so many kids.
I don't think Lucy was in attendance this time 'round as I didn't see her after the show.

The show ended with the cast singing Happy Birthday to Tom Papa and a cake with candles lit brought out for Papa to blow out. Damon jumped to the mic to say, the singing Gorilla they booked didn't show. To which Papa said, good thing for tiny miracles.

Zac Galifinakis' stand-up set was probably the funniest of the stand-ups cause he made it look so easy. One joke was he said he wished he had a twin brother so he could publish a book with a photo of them both on the cover and call the book "Beside Myself" LOL

Papa did a segment in the voice of Andy Rooney again from 60 Minutes. Very very funny material.

After the show some in attendance, including me, lingered in the court yard waiting for Matt to come out. Unlike last time, there were only a handful of people waiting and few to no paparazzi. When Matt came out he immediately approached an older gentleman he knew (i think it was a agent or manager or someone in the business) and he talked to him for about 5-10 min while the rest of us patiently waited respectfully; no one interrupted, & NO ONE snapped their flash during this time. I did stand about 15 feet from him but did not flash a photo and it was too dark outside to attempt no flash. When Matt was done talking to the gentleman, one person got him to autograph the script Damon threw to the audience, and one or two people got a photo with him, but then he turned to go into the closed off bar area. The nice thing is, no one went shouting or clamoring for him. I was just happy to stand there a while and see him. He's always so soft spoken and gentle.

Matt looked great, getting more fit and trim, and he had a shorter haircut one he's not had in years maybe '99 (see second pic below)

These guys got photos with Matt!
    I think when he arrived.
I think when Matt exited after going to the bar.

    Alexander Payne!

YAY! That's what I'm talkin' about!

Deadline reports that Matt will star in Alexander Payne's next project! Big news, great director. It's always great to see Matt still being sought by THE most respected directors. But I'm wondering what this means for the Aronofsky project.
