    People's Choice Nomination

The martian and Matt are both nominated

    Favorite Dramatic Movie: The Martian

Favorite Dramatic Movie Actor: Matt Damon

Although the nominees in the dramatic category are not exactly my choices (fifty shades of grey, are you kidding me???, The Age of Adeline, did anyone actually watch that movie??)

    The Martian

Found a clip from the "Academy conversation" with Drew Goddard, Ridley, and composer Gregson-Williams. I think this wasn't posted before?

    Star magazine

Star has a cover story that Matt and Lucy's marriage is over, but the story is completely debunked by Gossip Cop.

As we know, the selling house story is also false, and confirmed by Gossip Gosip:

Alicia Vikander mentions filming Bourne (and likes the set):

    RE: Star magazine

Why can't they just leave Matt and his Wife alone?
Judging by the pictures of them running with Kyle, looks like their still going stronge.
    Shame on StarMagazine

A pretty weird Daily Mail article, but nice pics of Lucy, Kyle and Matt jogging.

    Re: Jogging

With Matt Baiamonte, Matt's boxing trainer who has been there for all of the Bourne 5 shoot.

An invasive pic of Matt at the gym today:

    RE: Photo

I assume Bono must be there because everybody knows what Bono looks like but does anybody else think the profile of the blonde guy sitting next to Matt looks a lot like Christopher Nolan?

    And... they're off!

The horse race begins in earnest.

My favorite person (ha) David Poland has posted his 'guessing gurus' list of likely Oscar nominees in the major categories. It has also been posted at awards daily, so will get wide exposure.

Anything can happen, but these lists are often fairly representative of who ends up getting actual nominations, so it's rather heartening!

Best Picture: The Martian is not only on the list, but is in second place to Spotlight! Considering that it's this high on the list, it would be VERY unusual for it not to get an Oscar nom.

Best Actor: Matt is on the list (yay!) in forth place (boo!). Hey, no worries, plenty of time for people to come around. But he's definitely on a bit of a bubble. We need to get out there and lobby for Matt! I've been doing my part 😇

Best Director: Ridley is in second place!

The Martian is on track to finish third for the weekend with $7.6 million and a total by Sunday night of $195.4 million (via Deadline).

    RE: Martian

The legs on this movie have been insane. It is predicted to have around a 20% drop against the Bond movie, which is crazy. Will be interesting to see just how high over $200m it can go. $500m+ internationally is almost certain.

Here are the full details of what is being filmed at Paddington station and the shooting dates until 15 November (includes spoilers and not a lot of originality):

    RE: Paddington

I love, love, love Bourne but do have some concerns that this seems overly familiar. Hopefully this is just a jumping off place to something original. Which is something I think the audience expects out of a Bourne movie.

    Star Magazine & The Martian

I've read the Star article. Mostly rubbish, but there may be some truth there. I have no doubts that Ben moving in to the guesthouse must have generated tension in Matt's marriage.

My prediction for The Martian : 220M+ in USA and 600M+ Worldwide. The figure may increase according the movie's performance in China and in the next award season.
Or am I being too optimistic?

From: (Anonymous) Date: November 7th, 2015 06:33 pm (UTC) (Link)

RE: Star Magazine & The Martian

If it does well in China it should have no problem pass 600M. It would be interesting to see if it can pass Bourne ultimatum.
