    Divorce rumors?

On Instagram, I saw a person post a picture from Star magazine saying that Matt and Lucy are getting a divorce? I don't believe such BS. I hope they don't.

    Re: Divorce rumors?

Discussed in the previous comments section. It all seems to be false and without any basis, eg the LA house is not being sold and the rest is just gossip. Denied by Gossip Cop.

    The Martian box office

    Nice comment from indiewire today:

Something strange happened against the norm this weekend. Despite two strong openers, four of the eight Top Ten holdovers managed to hold their drops under 30%. Leading the way was "The Martian," down only 21%. Even in its sixth weekend, the movie for the first time clocked a gross ahead of "Gravity" at the same point ($9.3 million compared to $8.5 million). That's a nice way to sustain momentum in the Oscar race, particularly with "Spotlight " opening this weekend.

    RE: The Martian box office

Based on the current trajectory, I can see it break 220m eventually and probably gets even more if it gets some Oscar nominations in major categories like best picture, best actor, best director etc.

Maybe ponytail will make a reappearance! 😜 It's upset that it got left behind and now has a frighteningly bad attitude. I think we should start Referring to Great Wall as "Ponytail - The Movie"

Andy Weir interview - The Martian

A fabulous radio interview with Andy Weir about The Martian, this time from the Planetary Society. He's such a polymath. Even these hyperintelligent space nerds are like, "Damn, Andy Weir, you're smart!"

    Phony break up agenda exposed

The Daily Mail is showing (adorable) pics of Matt with the girls in London while saying that Lucy was "nowhere to be seen." While celebrity baby has a photo showing that, in fact, Lucy was not only there but was photographed smiling at Matt while he took photos of the girls.

Unfortunately if The Mail is climbing onboard this lie they will want to keep carrying it. Sigh.

I agree with Lainey's fun analysis of the award race so far.

I think The Martian will have between 7 and 10 Oscar nominations (including all the major categories) And when that happens, the B.O. will have a considerable boost. So, I believe it will ended up very close to the Gravity numbers: 270M in the US, 720m Worldwide.

Ridley Scott and Goddard have both big chances to win in their respetives categories.
The movie is a frontrunner, head to head with Spotlight (other big contenders have yet to come) but it's definitely a frontrunner.

And despite what some bloggers say, I think Matt will be nominated too. A very solid performance in a widely acclaimed movie is hard to ignore. He's not the favorite, though. Di Caprio is (Yikes!) :/

And I think we all agree that, at this point, the "Divorce Shocker" story seems quite false.

    What Rubbish

Those divorce rumours are just utter rubbish, there is no way Matt and Lucy are getting a divorce. The only reason this has come about is because of Ben and Jennife's problems and selling up in LA. Stupid nasty rumours, i hate gossips.

By the way your site is brilliant, love all the news you post and pictures - thank you

    Re: What Rubbish

Thanks for the comment. And the LA house isn't being sold, so even that part of the article is incorrect.

    shots from the film location

Just spotted these pics and clips - hope they don't spoil ... sometimes I feel like we get to see too much of the film through the pictures, but then again I just can't help myself. S-dk

    Awards watch

Awards daily put up a column today about the actor's race for Oscar. Matt is prominently mentioned. I would even go so far as to say it's a nice little push from Sash Stone. Feel free to comment in the comments section! Please! It won't let me post the link but it's right at the top.

    Re: Awards watch

I'm ignoring all awards talk for a few months. So many things will change, starting with the Concussion reviews coming out shortly. It's all just early speculation. The Martian's just getting some nice talk because it made some money and there's not much else to talk about yet.

    Simon Kinberg interview

The Hollywood Reporter's Producer's round table this year includes Simon Kinberg (producer of The Martian). They've put up clips from the discussion. But, hey, this is fun - Stacy Sher, longtime producer for Quentin Taratino, spontaneously describes Matt as "The greatest guy in the entire world," and goes on to praise his great on-set attitude. 😃She apparently worked with him on Contagion. If you watch the clip all the way to the end Matt's mentioned again.

Pretty unusual to see a producer go out of her way to praise an actor who's not even in her movie - during awards season press with THR, no less! 👏🏼

    Re: Set photos

funny how everybody is blurry in the instagram picture, except Lucy.

in the upside of the phony break up story, we have all this lovely photos of Matt's family.

This should be the Bourne movie which has more pictures from the set, right?
I try to avoid them. I don't want spoilers.

    Great Wall

The story of how Matt came to be involved with Great Wall from producer Charles Roven:

Who did he send it to? John Krasinski? Casey?
From: (Anonymous) Date: November 12th, 2015 12:12 am (UTC) (Link)

    RE: Great Wall

Actually I think it was Chris Hemsworth. There was discussion at one point that Chris was going to do the Grest Wall because Matt could not do it. Given that they are actually friends (not sure how), I think this actor they mentioned was Chris.
