George Clooney and his film buddies Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were in town Saturday night partying at Altitude, the new rooftop watering hole atop the 22-story Marriott Gaslamp.
They were attending a bachelor party for Clooney's agent, a neighbor of the hotel's design consultant, Jody Pennette.

David Ansen: Right now I think Billy Bob Thornton may be our most undervalued star. He's consistently, surprisingly good in everything he does, and has a range that's seldom acknowledged. He has that ability to make anthing he does seem easy and natural, whether its The Bad News Bears or a Coen brothers movie or his own Slingblade.
I also have a hunch that Matt Damon is going to have a long and varied career. I first noticed him in a small role in "Courage Under Fire" as a junkie soldier. He has a range and depth that his roles havent always exploited.
