Weekend for Two
Matt Damon and fiancée Luciana Barroso recently enjoyed a romantic weekend in the nation's capital. Damon, who is in Washington, D.C., filming The Good Shepherd, a movie about the early years of the CIA directed by Robert De Niro, treated his sweetie to a stay at the Willard Inter-Continental. There, they strolled down the landmark hotel's Peacock Alley and saw the lobby that, legend has it, inspired President Ulysses S. Grant to coin the term "lobbyist" for all the people who would approach him for favors there. No word on whether any fans "lobbied" the Oscar-winning actor while he was there.
